Our CUP3D is a solution specifically designed for the picking of castings at the demoulding exit.

Thanks to an advanced 3D vision system and a refined Artificial Intelligence algorithm, it is able to locate and pick the parts – weighing between 10 and 100 kg – in that constant flow where parts of various models, hot at 700°C and with sand adhered to them, are mixed with casting remains and scrap. The machine can either leave the sorted parts in containers or directly hang them on the aerial transport system at the shot blasting entrance.

In addition to the sorting and containerizing of hot parts, the CUP3D solves a health and safety problem by automating a process in which up to now the staff worked in a very harsh environment, with parts heated to 700 °C (1,292 °F), breathing very hot air and in a very dusty and noisy environment.
